Whether you are hosting an in-person, virtual, or hybrid event, there are a few steps you can take to ensure a smooth (Continuing Education Unit) CEU experience for your attendees (and you!).
Entering Your ACE Provider Information
Ensure that your ACE Provider information is up to date. To access the organization information from your account, click your name in the top right > click the name of your company in the dropdown menu under "My Organizations." If you don't see your organization, please reach out to support@behaviorlive.com.
Select Content Hub at the top of the page > then select Attendance and CEUs
To update a current certification, select it from the list, or select "Add Certification" to add a new one.
Make sure to add the name of your ACE Coordinator under “CEU Coordinator Name”, if relevant.
Scheduling Events
-
Schedule presentations for longer than the minimum CEU requirement time (e.g., schedule for one hour if you're trying to meet the 50-min requirement)
-
Schedule at least 10 minutes between events to allow time for scanning in and out of events (if in person) and to transition between presentations
CEU Planning
-
Let your presenters know in advance that they will need to submit three CEU questions. You may consider requiring that they submit these prior to the event; this will allow any attendees with issues to quickly resolve them and for those who watch the content on demand to receive CEUs. Send them this step-by-step guide.
-
For in-person events:
-
Have multiple copies of the QR codes to scan in and out available. In the conference, select Attendance & CEUs > select the QR Codes tab > select Generate PDF.
-
Make the QR codes available at the correct times (e.g., only have the scan-in QR code available at the start of the presentation).
-
Consider having volunteers available in each presentation room to ensure CEU requirements are met. Set them up as Scan Admins before the event. In the conference, select Attendance&CEUs > select the Scan Admins tab > select Add User (make sure you use the email address linked to their BehaviorLive account).
-
Use this guide to set up your volunteers to support with CEUs.
-
-
For live-stream events and participants, we will provide directions and support in the chat, so you don't have to worry!
-
We'll send out information about fixing CEU errors at the end of the event, but you're welcome to share these resources beforehand:
-
If you are functioning as your own ACE Provider or CEU Coordinator, make sure that all the events will qualify for CEUs and meet the necessary requirements. If you identify any issues in the documentation or other issues, please let us know!
-
Let attendees know if they have any issues, they can reach out to support@behaviorlive.com.
Happy Planning!
