The BehaviorLive messaging feature is a great way for your team to collaborate on conference communications and disseminate important event information.
Note that this feature is only for Transactional emails. You may send emails to users who are linked to your conference: Presenters, Registrants, and Exhibitors, but marketing emails are not permitted.
Get Started
Click Messaging on the left-hand menu > New Email
From there you can choose to start from scratch with a blank email, or select one our pre-made templates. Learn more about Templates
Edit Your Email
If you're using a blank template, you may drag and drop the elements you need from the left-hand menu to build your email. Learn more about building an email from scratch
If you're using a template, click the elements in the body of the email to edit individually.
Remember to periodically save your work by clicking the SAVE button in the top left corner!

Update Your Settings
Click Settings to add or update the email setting fields. Make the Email Title descriptive so it is clear WHO is receiving the email (registrants, presenters, exhibitors), WHAT the content of the email contains ("hotel deadline," "CEU Quizzes"), and WHEN the email will be sent (pre, during, or post-event)
Emails must have a Subject Line AND Preview Text. You also have the option to send a push notification if you're sending an important email during the conference or event, and want your attendees to receive a notification on their mobile device.
Send Yourself a Test Email
Click Send or Schedule to select your email recipients and send time.
You May fine-tune your Send To field using Lists. Learn more about Messaging Lists
Click Send Test Email to receive the email first. Choose yourself as the recipient from the dropdown, and optionally, you may choose to receive the email as a specific user.
Send or Schedule Your Email
Once you've reviewed your test email and you're happy with your message, click the red Review and Schedule button, and click Schedule when you're ready to send!
Review Your Sent Emails
Your sent emails will display as a list under Messaging. From here you can see the status of the email, which team member sent the message, the number of recipients, Open Rate, and Click Rate.
Click Actions for more options, such as viewing the sent email in your browser, or cloning the email to send to a different list of recipients. You will have the option to edit the cloned email before you send it again.
